| Since 1984, Vail Farm has been owned and operated by hunter-jumper horse trainer, Philip Ake. Vail Farm is located on Vail Lane in North Salem, NY and has access to miles of bridle trails. The farm hosts 2 USEF recognized “C” rated horse show per year.
The facility has two outdoor rings (45x160, 160x220) and an indoor ring (70x180), a 28 stall barn with 3 washstalls. Turnout on both grass and dirt is available.
Presently, Olivia Goodnow’s The Barn, LLC and Jen Hinman’s Sweetwater Farm (www.sweetwaterfarmny.com) are operated out of Vail Farm. Vail Farm is also host to The We Will Ride Therapeutic Riding Program (www.wewillrideinc.org) on Mondays.
Phil Ake and his wife Berkely also own Stillwater Farm in Church Hill Maryland. (www.stillwaterfarmequines.com). At Stillwater Farm, they offer full board for pleasure horses, show horses and retirees.
